Hike Dahab

Where the desert and sea collide

Sunset and Full Moonrise Hike

This hike is done at sunset and is best during the full moon. After a short walk up the wadi (a dry riverbed between mountains) we turn onto the trailhead. A series of lookout points bring us to the mountain top. From here you can look up the wadi and over the  mountains of the Sinai then turn around and enjoy the view over Dahab, the Gulf of Aquaba and the Saudi Arabian range. We relax as the sun sets and, during full moon, we wait 15-20 minutes for the moon to rise over Saudi Arabia's mountains.

After enjoying the moonrise we descend to the wadi and enjoy a traditional Bedouin meal of chicken or vegetarian food.
