Hike Dahab

Where the desert and sea collide

Ras Abu Galum Day Hike

Starting out at 8:00 am, we will take a taxi to the Blue Hole where you have the option of snorkeling. From here we will climb a small hill that offers a beautiful view over the Blue Hole. From here we  descend onto a flat path leading to the Bedouin village of Ras Abu Galum. The path is nestled between sheer mountains walls and the Gulf of Aquaba.

After walking for 1.5-2 hours, we will stop on a gorgeous sandy beach for swimming, snorkeling, tea and a fish or vegetarian Bedouin lunch. We will return along the same path later that day getting back to the Blue Hole around sunset.

Want to do something nice? If you want to bring children's shoes and clothes (they don't have to be new), any creams and moisturizers, practical shoes or something else that might be practical to a desert environment, it will happily be accepted in the village. It's difficult to obtain these things where they are.
